I’m the apple of Grandpa’s eye, everyone can see,
He’s a cuddly teddy bear, when it comes to me.
My Grandpa’s young at heart, we see eye-to-eye,
I think he’s still a kid, or at best a younger guy.
I know Grandpa’s silly side, the one with goofy faces,
The one with funny noises, and tickling embraces.
I also see his softer side, when he sits me on his knee,
He holds my little hand, and thanks the stars for me.
When I kiss my Grandpa, there’s just one reason why,
It shows him that he’s loved, by the apple of his eye.
